President Rena Peden

 Welcome!

And thank you for visiting the site of the Club whose roots began in Parker County over twenty-five years ago – a time when we joke that “Republicans could hold their meetings in a telephone booth!”  We have come a long way since then and accomplished much.  From a time when no Republicans held elective offices to a time when all offices are held by those identifying with the Republican Party.

I hope you will find the content to be helpful in making informed choices regarding your local, state and national elections.

As we reflect on 2008, we have much to be thankful for.

President Rena Peden

While the race for president didn’t go our way, Parker County and our club has had much success.  We have had wonderful speakers, a great fundraiser, greeted the troops coming home from the war, helped with get out the vote efforts, supported our local candidates, met the TFRW challenge for increased membership and elected all Republicans to office once again.

Our Women’s club is the oldest in Parker County with roots going back to the 1960’s.  That was a time when Republicans were few in number.  Many in our club helped to take this county from one where no Republicans held office to one where only Republicans hold all the offices.  Thanks to all of you who work to keep that tradition going and   thanks for choosing to be a member of our club.  If you are not currently a member, we would be happy to have you join us.  Please contact us if you have any questions.

Parker County Republican Women is a vibrant group, an award winning federated club organized in 1962.  Realizing that the strength of any political force ultimately is dependent upon grassroots activism, we seek to educate and empower volunteers to champion Republican candidates at every level of government.

Members are actively involved as precinct chairmen, voter registrars, campaign staff personnel and fundraisers.  We have members who have been elected to positions in local and state government as well as those who serve as staff members for officials at local, state and national levels.

Parker County Republican Women promote community programs, educational projects, and young Republican groups.   We enthusiastically support our troops in a variety of ways, assist local charities and contribute financially to local candidates.

If you are interested in advancing the Republican Philosophy, we welcome your involvement.  For more information, please contact Rena Peden, President of Parker County Republican Women at :rena.peden@juno.com
